We are Evrin
Achter Evrin gaan jazz-en blueszangeres Eefje Terschegget en singer-songwriter Riny Raijmakers schuil, een stel dat elkaar 11 jaar geleden tegen het lijf liep en besloot hun verschillende invloeden te bundelen in een folkrootsy mix van Americana, Blues, Jazz en Country. Al snel ontstond er een organische mix van de jazzy/bluesy stem van Eefje, die haar inspiratie haalt uit Karen Dalton, Etta James, Nina Simone en Billie Holiday en singer/songwriter Riny die zich laat inspireren door o.a. Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, Ry Cooder en John Hiatt.
In 2015 bracht Evrin in eigen beheer hun 1e album 'Be Still' uit. In 2017 volgde een EP. Het meest recente (vinyl) album 'In the late innings' is uitgekomen in 2024! Voorafgaand aan de opnames van dit album werd Eefje gediagnosteerd met kanker. Het album is mede mogelijk gemaakt door de stichting 'NO GUTS NO GLORY'! (over deze stichting en kun je meer lezen op de 'NEWS' pagina). De songs zijn een roadtrip door het muzikale landschap van stijlen die Eefje en Riny bindt, maar tevens ook een eerbetoon aan de artiesten die hen inspireerden en nog steeds inspireren, ze voeren je terug naar de jaren 70, 60 en soms zelfs decennia verder terug in de tijd. Na een tour door Bali, Lembongan, Ierland en België, verkennen ze hun grenzen en zien ze wel waar het muzikale avontuur hen naar toe leidt!! Eefje & Riny zijn muzikanten die platgetreden paden mijden en gewoon hun eigen gang gaan.

Evrin (Americana duo from the Netherlands), are jazz and blues singer
Eefje Terschegget and singer-songwriter Riny Raijmakers, a couple who
bumped into each other 11 years ago and decided to combine their various
influences into a folk-rootsy mix of Americana, Blues, Jazz and Country. An
organic blend soon emerged of Eefje's jazzy/bluesy voice, who draws her
inspiration from Karen Dalton, Etta James, Nina Simone and Billie Holiday
and singer/songwriter Riny, who’s inspired by Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, Ry
Cooder and John Hiatt.
In 2015, Evrin self-released their 1st album "Be Still”. An EP followed in 2017.
The most recent full (vinyl) album “In the late innings” was released in 2024! Before the recordings, Eefje was diagnosed with cancer.
The album is made with the (financial) support of the foundation 'NO GUTS NO GLORY'!
The songs are a
road trip through the musical landscape of styles that binds Eefje and Riny,
but also a tribute to the artists who inspired and still inspire them. Evrin
takes you to the 70s, 60s and sometimes even decades further back in time.

Eefje & Riny explore their limits and just see where the musical adventure leads
them!! Evi & Riny are musicians who avoid well-trodden paths and just go

15 februari, 2025. Podium 107.1 'The place to be' op de zaterdagmiddag.
